Insolent politics

POLITICS is such a field which keeps no dimensions. Literally speaking it is the practice of influencing other people on civic or individual level. But politics have become so weird that it remains out of our comprehensibility. Instances are interminable, though I am recently being dismayed by sudden decision of BS Yeddyurappa to amalgamate with BJP unconditionally. The situations under which he formed KJP has yet not been solved. Is this the merger of necessity? a necessity for both BJP and KJP. BJP knows that even a scam-tainted strongman is a welcome addition in their three-way fight with the Congress and Janta Dal in 2014 elections. It is hoped that a sight of common enemy would help them incriminate their differences.

equal to murder....

The decision of khap panchyat and mahapanchayats, following a gang rape case in Haryana, is very disheartening. Child Marriage is a sin against females  Early marriage could never be solution for it. They failed to realize that rape victims are not only unmarried girls and the criminals are not always single men. If they think child marriage is the good option then the day is not far, when they will issue orders for female foeticide and infanticide.... or better to call it as FEMINICIDE (killing of females).

UnNoticed,,,,,,

While reading some article on condition of women, I at once looked at my mother who was busy in kitchen. I am sure, while cooking she must be thinking of other pending household works. This is really thankless job on name of  "care" and "nurturing". This job of HOMEMAKER is without retirement age, without holiday and leave, definite and BEGAR. Even then, her work is of no value and smoked by tagging it as her DUTY.

Some organisations have debated to turn it into an economic activity by transferring certain amount of husband's income to account of his wife, for satisfying her basic needs. But I think this will make women more dependent on men. Instead of it, State should provide different ways by providing subsidies, gainful employment, special funding etc. Of course, there is no repayment of the services provided by a woman, still an attempt could be made......

secularism in disguise??

~Days back, I was looking for a room to stay as paying guest. The owner asked for my name. She was bit hesitant to lend me her room as she was doubtful about my religion. Then I told her about my full name. She replied "AWW!! so u r hindu... I thought u are muslim,,,, blah blah blah.."
For time being I was dumbstruck. Anyways, i got the room after telling her my full name...
On my way to home, I gave a thought about SECULARISM prevailing in our country. Few days back, I read in some newspaper that MUSLIMS are being denied home in Delhi. That didnt pinch me much until it happened with me.
Our constitution provides secular nation, BUT our society herself is not willing to opt this word. The worst enemy of humanity is human itself. Legislatures can only formulate the laws. But ultimately, it is the people on whom laws are to be enforced.

~how not to get raped~

India is turning into world capital for unsecured women. Whenever you go through newspapers, you will find at least one news on every page about molestation, child sex abuse, stripping or anything that would make us stand in vegetative state. The recent case in Guwahati is ofcourse a national shame. This is not crime only against the victim woman but against the whole female community and of course sin against humanity.
All this ends up with a vicious cycle. Increasing crime against women leave a sense of insecurity among parents for their female child and either they end up with female foeticide or keep their girl inside jail turned home. further decreasing sex ratio is direct cause of prostitution and molestation like cases. And uneducated female community will explode this nation. I think it would be of no use to mention here that a strict action should be taken, or government should do something etc. Law makers know exactly what should be done and what to be undone.
In our society, females are considered to be the honour of the family. Any crime against their own girl wreak havoc on the family. Keeping the fear of insecurity in their mind, Baghpat Panchayat of U.P. have issued a diktat against unescorted women visiting the marketplace, entering into love marriage or even carrying mobiles. Although these are for protecting women, but they are highly undemocratic in nature. why cannot the same be issued for men? Anyways our society teaches us "HOW NOT TO GET RAPED" rather than "NOT TO RAPE"

female foetcide

Decreasing sex ratio due to female foeticide is a

serious problem. To remove the severe evil, we need

to search out root causes that why people don't want

a female child. I think sexual insecurity to women

and dowry system are the worse demons that is

fueling female foeticide.

Everyone at every level of societial pyramid need to

be awakened. Law making bodies shall take strict

actions against misuse of AMNIOCENTESIS, the

process being used to detect chromosomal disorders.

Famous personalities should come forward through

various programmes like recently Amir Khan has

done through a TV programme.

JAI HIND, SATYAMEV JAYATE...

poverty of measurement

Just finding a problem and not finding solution is as bad as not finding the problem. Even worse is when we know the problem and still pretend to be finding it. Govt of India seems to be doing the same. It is trying to be skeptic and appointing committees one after another for measurement of poverty. Also, spending on Foreign trips of Montek S. Ahluwalia exposed by an RTI, examples are endless, shows that scales for measurement of poverty line are inadequate.
